–Your treatment by these men as of weaklings in a position of power.
Our Jesus and Mary, a Divine Will cry for help through:
–Your awful state even shocking Pilate. He thought the Jews would make
do with the merciless scourging.
Your hearing the people choose Barabbas over you and he a murderer.
–Your coming out to the mob but your scourged and parlous condition
requiring “it is a man”.
-Your hearing only screams of death-- in return for your coming to save and
your Good News for the world.
– Your committal to the wolves as Pilate washes his hands of you.
– Your blood they claim as their responsibility. You said you were God, but
the Divine Signs were ignored.
The Way of the Cross.
– Your corpse-like body facing the deadliest walk of all lifetimes, to Calvary.
–Your being led like a lamb to the slaughter opening not your mouth.
–Your cross so heavy, the thorns tortuous, your loss of blood so weakening.
–Your great heart so distressed at even the children’s cries of hate.
